How to distinguish our services from those of other SEO's
(search engine optimizers)

There are several key areas where we do things differently

1. We understand Search Engines (SE's) better

We have worked on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for the last 8 1/2 years, for the largest companies in the world, including Verizon Communications, Charles Schwab, Barnes and Noble, Providian Bank, Novartis Pharmaceutical, and others. As a result, we have gained a comprehensive understanding of both how the SE's change, and the forces causing them to change.

We select and optimize for keywords (kw's) that not only are the most searched for, they are also the most recently surfaced, and those we believe will return a higher percentage of people seeking your products and services.

We monitor the myriad and dynamic factors effecting SEO. Doing this gives me a distinct advantage over my competitors, such that we can both recognize and predict change in this enormously complex social phenomena we call the Internet.

2. We stay in constant touch with and participate in Forums, Chat Rooms, Bulletin Boards, News Letters, SE Directories, etcetera. This enables us to keep abreast of SEO changes both before they occur, and while they are happening.

3. We help you obtain Pre-Qualified Traffic

By continually fine tuning keyword lists and monitoring actual search terms, we are able to effectively help pages rank higher, and for keywords that are more likely to produce a sale for our client. So when most people decide to click on one of your pages, it is because they are looking for the product or service you provide.

For instance, when someone is looking for "used cars in Oregon" and they click on one of our client's pages, they are taken to a specific page on our client's site which is all about "used cars in Oregon" and is not about "used cars in Idaho" or "new cars in Oregon" or... This is the idea behind Pre-Qualified Traffic - more people are visiting your site because they want to buy or learn more about your products and/or services.

A question we are frequently asked: "I have found other companies that claim they can do SEO for less. What do you do that is better?"

The most important question here is what are they doing for less?

Certainly there here are many plans that will cost you less. However, when the year was over you would have fewer visitors (and fewer sales) to your site from SE traffic.

Also consider this: How much Pre-Qualified Traffic will be generated?

We select and optimize for keywords (kw's) that not only are the most searched for, they are also the newest ones that are surfacing, and those we believe will return a higher percentage of people seeking your products and services.

On a daily basis we monitor the myriad and dynamic factors effecting SEO and rankings. Doing this gives our clients a distinct advantage over their competitors.

What Other SEO Companies Do

1. Many SEO companies simply mass-submit their client's sites, with no regard to optimizing the pages. They submit them, then resubmit them, and then resubmit them...

2. Unbeknownst to you, the client, many of the less expensive options include the practice of borrowing (copying) other companies' high ranked page's source code. Why? Because it is a lot faster to borrow a page than to customize a new one specifically for their client. We highly recommend avoiding the services of companies that use this method of generating traffic. (Be aware that such "promotions" can be wrapped in the promise of "instant" traffic to your site, frequently at the cost of getting your site banned at the SE's.)

3. At the next level, some companies provide the submission service described in #1, and also will handle the submissions to "pay-to-play directories" such as Yahoo (see the Directory link on their main page). Again, they are not optimizing the pages - they are simple taking care of the often complex process of submission.

4. Next come the companies that will do very basic optimization of their client's pages. This is generally without regard to finding appropriates kw's (those that match their client's products and services, and those that can reasonably be expected to achieve decent ranking).

5. A much smaller group of SEO companies will consider other factors, such as Link Popularity & Relevancy, Cross Linking their client's own sites, and Cross Linking their client's sites with similar sites.

6. Still fewer companies will spend the time participating in user maintained directories like GO's GoGuides and the Open Directory Project (dmoz.org). This gives the companies that do participate an inside track to the ranking processes, and a heads-up when things are about to change.

7. Even fewer companies take the time to thoroughly research and participate in Bulletin Boards, Chat Rooms, Newsletters, and Forums that deal with SEO. Doing this adds value towards understanding the complexities of SEO. It also generates new and unique tactics, as well as eliminating from consideration tactics that have proven unsuccessful.

8. And last, a tiny portion of SEO's have a comprehensive 2 to 3 year plan for each client.

What We Do

All the above, plus working hand-in-hand with our clients, developing a symbiotic relationship; their success = our success.

We continually evaluate our client's kw list in order to keep them fresh, as well as to insure they are achieving client goals in terms of Conversion (turning a clickthru into a sale).
